Oranges - VITAMIN C source - Essential



I thought of mentioning Important Benefits of the Oranges and it Nutrient Contents :

1. Eating higher amounts of a compound in citrus fruits, especially oranges and grapefruit, may lower ischemic stroke risk.
2. Oranges, like other citrus fruits, is an excellent source of vitamin C. Vitamin C is a powerful natural antioxidant. Consumption of foods rich in vitamin C helps the body develop resistance against infectious agents and scavenge harmful, pro-inflammatory free radicals from the blood.
3. taking 2-3 oranges a day helps to stay away from cold.
4. Lowers cholesterol.
5. Prevent and Dissolve kidney stones and hence decrease the risk of colon cancer.
6. It contains a very good amount of minerals like potassium and calcium, which in turn controls heart rate and blood pressure.
