Since most people wash their hair with warm water during the winter season, this often causes the scalp to become dry and flaky. Below are some typical home remedies you could try to get rid of dry as well as sticky dandruff:
  • Soak two tablespoons of fenugreek (methi) seeds in water overnight. Grind into a fine paste in the morning, apply on the scalp and leave for half an hour. Wash off, preferably with a soap-nut (ritha) solution. Use the water in which the seeds were soaked as an after-shower hair tonic.
